Pupil Premium Strategy
Pupil Premium is carefully tracked at Burnt Oak Junior School to ensure that all children achieve their full potential. Please open the document below to see how our Pupil Premium grant is spent.
The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring that funding reaches the pupils who need it most.
It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is allocated and spent since they are best placed to assess what additional provision is made for pupils.
Schools also receive funding for LAC children and children of service personnel. From April 14 children who have been adopted from care or who are under a special guardianship of residence order will also be eligible for funding (Pupil Premium Plus)
