We hope you all enjoyed your half term break and we are looking forward to the next half term which will be packed with fun learning opportunities.

Welcome to Burnt Oak Junior School

Prospective Year 3 parents please take a look around the website or click here for more information about our virtual open days.

I am delighted to be able to share with you the wonderful opportunities we provide to maximise our pupils learning potential.

We are a vibrant ‘village-feel school’ embedded within the heart of Sidcup’s community and steeped in history but with a modern edge. We are proud of our pupils, staff and families that work together in a shared commitment to be enthusiastic and motivated to achieve more.

Watch our short video below to find out a bit more about the great things we offer here at Burnt Oak.

Through our engaging and stimulating curriculum, rich in content, we ensure that children can foster a passion centred on the development of cross-curricular skills and knowledge.  Within this, workshops and grandparent and parent sessions run throughout the year, as we firmly believe that education is a partnership between pupil, home and school and regard you as an active partner in your child's education.  Your interest and support is valued greatly.

As a junior school, we have developed a special connection with Chatsworth Infant school to support pupil transition, where pupils build on their progress and high standards of achievement as well as creating happy and special memories.

Please browse the website, where you will find lots of helpful information about us and see many of the learning opportunities that our children enjoy.  Please don’t hesitate to get in touch or visit us.

Our school looks forward to welcoming you soon.

Ms V Denman  -  Head Teacher

For our children staying safe at home, you can find your home learning on your DB log in and on the home learning tab.  This is a challenging time for all families.  Remember, be brave, be strong.  The Burnt Oak Team look forward to the children returning to school when we can.  If we can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
